Say Goodbye to Clunky Workflows – Frame.io V4 is Here!

In this blog we will be discussing Frame.io latest version V4 that was released on October 14, 2024.

What is Frame.io?

In a nutshell Frame.io is a centralized, cloud-based workspace used by creative teams. It was designed to eliminate the bottlenecks that occurred back in day when creatives had to manually share files with each other or the client either via email or even slower media.

Receiving feedback or getting client approvals was a notoriously slow and painful process often involving long email threads.

Frame.io was setup with the view to improving the collaboration between members of your own creative team and with your clients.

Frame.io sits in the cloud allowing users to share content between each other, collaborate on the same files, and share feedback between each other as well as with the clients too. The creative workflow has never been easier.

Frame.io has been designed to be used for both video workflows as well as traditional design or photography workflows.

Other benefits of using Frame.io

  1. With all the design, feedback and approvals residing in one central location the risk of misunderstandings has drastically been reduced.
  2. For video or motion graphic projects sharing files via email was particularly difficult due to bandwidth constraints. This is no long an issue in the Frame.io workspace.
  3. Frame.io has also reduced the need for meetings and lengthy phones calls so is also a big time saver.
  4. Lastly, Frame.io has eliminated the risk of creatives working on different versions of the same file, that was a major headache in for designers in the past.

  1. The most obvious new feature is the new redesigned user interface. Overall, it is more intuitive and visually appealing than earlier versions, making navigation and project management more straightforward.

  2. Frame.io V4 has introduced advanced metadata tagging. This feature allows creatives to add custom tags to files, such as the assignee, the due date, media type etc.
